Technical requirements
i-Dixel can be installed on Windows Server 2008 through 2022 or even Windows 11 Pro for clinics looking for a simpler solution.
Recommended specifications are different depending on whether you are prepareing PCs for 2D image viewing or whether you working with CBCT data.

- No support for AMD processors
- SQL 2014 or SQL 2019 as well as i-Dixel itself is required on the server
- Each panorama image requires approximately 5 MB and each CBCT volume (depending on FOV) requires between 100 - 1000 MB disk space including raw image data.
- i-Dixel supports both 32 and 64 bit environments
- Windows Home editions not supported
Note regarding data backups:
The person bearing responsibility for the data back-up prescribed by law shall be the operator of the unit in question. The database must be backed up at a frequency in accordance with local regulations and it is highly recommended to back up to external or off-site media. Backup frequently.
