The new OTR function combines the efficiency of rotary systems with the safety introduced with cyclical-reciprocation. As long as the adjusted torque value is not exceeded, the motor rotates continuously forward for optimum cutting efficiency. As soon as the stress on the file exceeds the set value during 180° rotation, the Torque Reverse motion will be activated and the rotation of the file will be reversed by 90° to release the instrument. If the torque is lower than the set limit, the file will rotate in the cutting direction again.

DentaPort’s new contra angle has a markedly smaller head diameter and is fitted with a built-in file electrode for more working length.
When it comes time for replacement, the DentaPort with emit an acoustic signal as a reminder, usually after 100 hours of continuous operation.

The motor starts automatically when the file is inserted in the root canal and stops when it is withdrawn. This improves the safety of the device by ensuring the motor doesn't run unless the file is in the canal.

Optimum Torque Reverse

The file rotates in the cutting direction until a set torque limit is reached. If the limit is exceeded, the motor alternates 180° forwards and 90° back freeing the file and reducing cyclical fatigue.
Very small torque values can be set allowing for a greater range of files and improved safety for even the thinest ones during shaping.

Auto Torque Slow-down

The rotational speed is reduced as the file approaches the preset torque limit.  This greatly reduces torsional fatigue.

Auto Torque Reverse

Unlike OTR, the file reverses direction immediately when the set torque limit is reached and until the file is withdrawn from the canal.

Auto Apical Slow-down

The rotational speed is reduced as soon as the file approaches a previously set reference point near the apex. This allows for more precise and controlled movement as you near the critical apical region.

Auto Apical Stop

The file stops automatically when reaching a preset reference point near the apex.

Auto Apical Reverse

The file reverses direction automatically when reaching a preset reference point near the apex. This greatly reduces the occurrence of over-instrumentation and apex perforation.
