National Sales Manager – Merchandise

This position is located at the corporate headquarters in Irvine, California.

Qualification Requirements:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in dental industry in a management role
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Contract negotiation experience required
  • Budgeting and forecasting experience required
  • Dental distributions networking experience required
  • Must be able to interact with all levels of personnel in a professional manner
  • Need to be a problem solver who has the ability to work independently
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Excellent technical knowledge and understanding of J. Morita dental products
  • Excellent knowledge of all dental industry small equipment and merchandise products
  • Capable of managing the company’s small equipment and merchandise sales team located throughout North America
  • Capable of developing and implementing company sales and product training courses
  • Capable of developing excellent relationships between the company team and the customers within dental industry
  • Overall knowledge of company Quality Management System is required

Primary Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Achieve the company’s monthly and annual sales goals of all small equipment and merchandise products sold within the United States and Canada.
  • Effectively negotiate and cooperate with national and regional accounts, and OEM partners to achieve the company’s sales goals for small equipment and merchandise
  • Manage, support and co-travel with outside sales representatives
  • Create and execute successful sales promotional programs for small equipment and merchandise departments
  • Manage the sales activities of the small equipment and merchandise sales representatives in the Unites States and Canada
  • Promote J. Morita small equipment and merchandise products in North America through our network of dental dealers, universities, government facilities, and OEM partners to achieve the sales goals of the company
  • Manage and coordinate related convention activities
  • Train representatives on products and CRM associated with department
  • Create and implement any new strategy needed to achieve the above responsibilities

Outside Sales Representative

This position is located in the greater Chicago area, requires extensive travel throughout the territory, and also requires a home office. 

Qualification Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A.) from four-year college or university; or one to two years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Three years of related experience
  • Good communication skills
  • Excellent customer service skills
  • Dental or medical outside sales experience a plus
  • Good computer skills, including the use of Windows operating system and MS Office

Primary Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for achieving mutually agreed upon sales goals 
  • Travels throughout assigned territory to call on regular and prospective customers and dealer branches to solicit orders, or communicates with customers by phone
  • Builds and strengthens relationships with dealers
  • Introduces new products to dealers and helps facilitate getting products added into dealer ordering systems
  • Visits prospective and existing customers with dealer representatives to promote the company’s products
  • Formulates and executes promotions with dealers; optimizes promotions by working with dealer field sales consultants
  • Advises customers of equipment for given need based on technical knowledge of products
  • Displays or demonstrates product using samples or catalog and emphasizes salable features
  • Estimates date of delivery to customer, based on knowledge of company's production and delivery schedules
  • Prepares reports of business transactions and activities, keeps expense accounts and keeps customer information updated
  • Resolves customer problems with products/deliveries and reports product performance issues/concerns to management
  • Organizes and conducts training sessions and education programs for dealers and doctors
  • Prepares and distributes promotional packages to dealers and doctors
  • Provides support for dealer sponsored courses, or lectures, and other sponsored activities
  • Attends tradeshows and industry conferences

Large Equipment Field Technician
Position in the Northeast or Northern Midwest area of the US 

A home office is required for this position. 

Qualification Requirements:

  • Experience with the following:
    • Customer service and end-user product operation training
    • Installing and setting up equipment on site
    • Installing, configuring, and troubleshooting software
    • Supporting customers remotely
  • Proficient computer skills including Windows and network configuration
  • Basic knowledge of standard tools and measurement devices
  • Good communication skills with dealer representative and dentists
  • Field service experience on digital Panoramic and Cephalometric X-ray units is preferred
  • Field service experience of dental Cone Beam CT (3D) X-ray units is preferred

Primary Description of Job Responsibilities:

  • Provide field service to the following dental X-ray systems:
    • Digital panoramic/cephalometoric X-ray units
    • Dental Cone Beam CT (3D) X-ray units
    • Host computer for the image acquisition and processing for the above X-ray products
  • Installation and calibration of above mentioned X-ray systems together with the host computer set-up including network configuration at the dental clinic or hospital (travel within the US Canada territory is required)
  • Staff training of the operation of the X-ray products at the customer’s site after installation
  • Repair and troubleshooting of the dental X-ray system at customer’s site
  • Repair and troubleshooting of the host computer by remote login
  • Staff training for the operation of the X-ray system by remote login and telephone communication
  • Provide technical training such as installation, configuration, and repair service of the X-ray system to the dealer technician
  • Technical support and advice for dealer technicians by telephone and remote login
  • Set up and dismantling of X-ray systems at dental trade shows
  • Demonstration of X-ray systems at trade shows or at the showroom of the headquarter office in Irvine, CA
  • All the service activities shall conform to the company’s Standard Operation Procedures based on the ISO Quality Management System Regulation
